  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour and sugar together.
  3. Cut the butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture.
  4. Use your hands or a pastry cutter to mix the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and mix until the dough comes together.
  6. Press two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  7. Spread the jam evenly over the dough.
  8. Crumble the remaining dough over the jam.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool for 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
