Cornflakes were accidentally discovered by Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, who left a pot of boiled wheat sitting out overnight. When he rolled out the dried wheat, it turned into flakes, which he then toasted and served to his patients.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, until a dough forms.
  6. Gently fold in the cornflakes.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown and crispy.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
