Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, beat together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir into the flour mixture until just combined.

Gently fold in the blueberries. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, butter, and chopped pecans until crumbly. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the batter.
