Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the mixed berries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Toss until the berries are coated.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cut the unsalted butter into small pieces and add it to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until the dough comes together.

Transfer the berry mixture to a baking dish and drop spoonfuls of the dough on top of the berries.
