Anzac biscuits are a traditional Australian sweet treat, often associated with the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) during World War I.   2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and golden syrup over low heat.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, desiccated coconut, plain flour, caster sugar, and baking soda.
  4. Pour the melted butter mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Roll tablespoonfuls of the mixture into balls and place them on the prepared baking tray.
  6. Use your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each biscuit.
  7. Fill each indentation with a teaspoon of strawberry jam.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow the biscuits to cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
