  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just blended.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once the cake has cooled, slice it in half horizontally. Spread whipped cream on the bottom half and arrange sliced strawberries on top. Place the other half of the cake on top.
  8. Dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar. Serve and enjoy!
