Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together.

In a separate bowl, whisk the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the sugar mixture, stirring until smooth.

In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
