  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, egg, and molasses.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with hot water.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the gingerbread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
