In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the milk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until the dough comes together.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness and cut it into small squares or circles.

Fry the sopaipillas in hot oil until they puff up and turn golden brown on both sides.

Remove the sopaipillas from the oil and drain them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Serve the sopaipillas warm, drizzled with honey and sprinkled with ground cinnamon.
