Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies.
