Soft Chocolate Cookies
Chocolate chip cookies were invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938 when she added chopped chocolate to a cookie recipe at the Toll House Inn in Massachusetts.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 55 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 10.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
