Simple Sage Dressing/Stuffing

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cut the bread into small cubes and spread them on a baking sheet. Toast in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until crispy.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, and sage. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine the toasted bread cubes, cooked vegetables, chicken or vegetable broth, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
