Rose Rolls
The shape of these rolls resembles a rose, hence the name ‘Rose Rolls’.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle.

Spread strawberry jam evenly over the dough.

Starting from one long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log.

Cut the log into 12 equal pieces.

Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and water to make a glaze.
