Rolled Chocolate Sugar Cookies

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.

Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a disc. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Use cookie cutters to cut out desired shapes and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.
