  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, flour, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until crumbly. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Spread the raspberry jam evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the fresh raspberries on top.
  4. Crumble the remaining dough over the raspberry layer.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
