  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, salt, and milk until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into individual ramekins or a baking dish.
  4. Place the ramekins or baking dish in a larger baking pan and fill the larger pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins or baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until the custard is set.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the custard to set further.
  8. Serve chilled with whipped cream and pecans on top.
