Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 8 minutes.

Drain the eggs and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to cool. Once cooled, peel the eggs and set aside.

In a separate saucepan, combine white vinegar, water, sugar, salt, peppercorns, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar and salt dissolve.

Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool for 10 minutes.

Place the peeled eggs in a sterilized jar and pour the vinegar mixture over them.

Cover the jar with a lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
