  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the torte cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. In a separate bowl, whip the whipping cream until soft peaks form. Add the powdered sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
  9. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream.
  10. Once the torte has cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture over the top.
  11. Serve chilled and enjoy!
