  3. Beat in the pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, and egg.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition.
  6. If desired, add a few drops of orange food coloring for a vibrant pumpkin color.
  7. Fit a cookie press with a pumpkin-shaped disc and fill with the cookie dough.
  8. Press the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing cookies about 1 inch apart.
