Profiteroles are often served with chocolate sauce or caramel sauce.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a saucepan, combine water and butter. Bring to a boil.

Remove from heat and add flour. Stir until the mixture forms a ball.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition until the dough is smooth.

Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool.

In a mixing bowl, beat whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

Cut the profiteroles in half horizontally and fill with the whipped cream.
