Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.

Stir in the rolled oats, sweetened flaked coconut, chopped pecans, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and M&M's.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
