Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Stir in the milk and pomegranate seeds.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts.

Fill each muffin cup with batter and sprinkle the streusel mixture on top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
