  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  5. Arrange the pineapple slices on top of the batter, and place a maraschino cherry in the center of each slice.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and melted butter. Spoon the mixture over the pineapple slices.
