Palmiers are also known as elephant ears due to their shape resembling the ears of an elephant.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.

Spread the basil pesto evenly over the puff pastry.

Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese and pine nuts over the pesto.

Starting from one long side, roll the pastry tightly into a log.

Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.

Place the palmiers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve warm or at room temperature.
