  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe persimmons.
  3. Add the flour, sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt to the bowl. Mix well until combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped nuts and raisins, if desired.
  5. Grease a baking dish and pour the batter into it.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes.
