In a mixing bowl, cream together creamcheese, butter, sugar, and vanilla extract.

Add peanut butter and egg, and mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamcheese mixture and mix until well combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Cover the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
