Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and peanut butter until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Use your thumb or the back of a teaspoon to make an indentation in the center of each cookie.

Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and use the back of a teaspoon to press down the indentations again.

Fill each indentation with chocolate chips.

Sprinkle sea salt flakes over the cookies.

Return the cookies to the oven and bake for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the chocolate is slightly melted.

Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.

Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
