Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix well.

Stir in the oats, chocolate chips, M&Ms, and chopped nuts.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
