Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Peel and finely chop the onions.

Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, combine the caramelized onions, all-purpose flour, grated parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and fresh thyme leaves. Mix well.

Add the remaining butter and mix until the dough comes together.

Press the dough into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
