Nutella Tartlets
Nutella was created in the 1940s by Pietro Ferrero, an Italian pastry maker, during World War II when cocoa was in short supply. He added hazelnuts to extend the chocolate supply, resulting in the delicious hazelnut spread we know today.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 65 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 8.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the bowl. Use your fingers to rub the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until the dough comes together.

Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut out circles to fit your tartlet pans.

Press the dough into the pans and prick the bottoms with a fork. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Allow the tartlet shells to cool completely. Fill each shell with Nutella spread and sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts.

Serve the Nutella tartlets with a dollop of whipped cream on top.
