Nestle Chocolate Chip Cookies (Light Version)
Nestle Toll House chocolate chip cookies were invented by Ruth Wakefield in the 1930s when she ran out of baker’s chocolate and decided to break up a Nestle chocolate bar into small pieces.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
