  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
  9. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled cake.
  10. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and almonds.
  11. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
