  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and salt.
  2. Add butter and almond extract, then mix until the dough comes together.
  3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Cut out small circles or desired shapes using a cookie cutter.
  7. Place the pastry shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the pastries with beaten egg and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow the pastries to cool before serving.
