  1. In the bread machine pan, combine yeast, warm water, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg yolks, remaining sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the pan. Select the dough cycle and start the machine.
  3. Once the dough is ready, remove it from the machine and place it on a floured surface. Knead it a few times and form it into a ball.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Punch down the dough and transfer it to the prepared baking sheet. Shape it into a ring, making sure to leave a hole in the center.
  7. Insert the plastic baby figurine into the bottom of the cake, if desired.
