Grease a baking dish with butter.

Cut the bread slices into halves diagonally.

Arrange the bread slices in the baking dish.

In a bowl, mash the bananas.

In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.

Pour the egg mixture over the bread slices, making sure all the slices are coated.
