Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Peel, core, and dice the apples and pears.

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the diced apples and pears to the skillet and cook until slightly softened.

Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brandy.

Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the mixture is thickened.

Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut into squares.

Spoon the apple and pear filling onto one half of each square.

Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and press the edges to seal.

Place the turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
