Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until just combined.

Stir in the rolled oats, chocolate chips, and chopped nuts.

Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
