  2. Wash and peel the rhubarb, then dice it into small pieces.

  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the diced rhubarb.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it evenly.
