  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the pecans evenly on the prepared baking sheet and toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until fragrant. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the sugars have dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the baking soda. The mixture will bubble up, so be careful.
  6. Add the toasted pecans to the caramel mixture and stir until the pecans are evenly coated.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the pecan caramel mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
