Ingredients
Instructions
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
-
Add warm water and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
-
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
-
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rest for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
-
Punch down the dough and divide it into 6 equal portions.
-
Take one portion and shape it into a round ball. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
Repeat with the remaining portions of dough.
-
Take a small piece of dough from each ball and shape it into a smaller ball. Place it on top of the larger ball to create the ladybug's head.
-
Use a knife to make small cuts on the larger ball to create the ladybug's wings.
-
Mix red food coloring with a small portion of the dough and shape it into small dots. Place the dots on the wings.
-
Mix black food coloring with another small portion of the dough and shape it into small dots. Place the dots on the head.
-
Sprinkle black sesame seeds on the wings and head.
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Let the ladybug bread rolls rise for an additional 15 minutes.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
-
Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
