Fold the pastry over the jam to create a turnover shape and press the edges firmly to seal.

Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the turnovers with the beaten egg.

Place the turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
