Bird’s Nest is a popular Chinese dish made with edible bird’s nests, but this recipe is a vegetarian version using noodles to create a similar nest-like appearance.

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 1 minute.
  3. Add the sliced carrot, bell pepper, and cabbage to the wok. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  4. Push the vegetables to the side of the wok and add the cooked noodles in the center. Pour soy sauce and oyster sauce over the noodles. Toss everything together until well combined.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper, and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped spring onions and roasted sesame seeds.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
