Heidi’s Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies
The first chocolate chip cookie was invented by Ruth Graves Wakefield in 1938 when she ran out of baker’s chocolate and substituted it with chopped chocolate in her cookie dough.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 55 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 9.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix well.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
