In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix together the honey, coconut oil, almond milk, vanilla extract, and egg.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the dark chocolate chips and frozen cherries.

Divide the batter evenly among a muffin tin lined with paper liners.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
