  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. Cut the butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in the granulated sugar.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, vanilla extract, and milk.
