  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the green tea powder and milk until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture and green tea mixture to the butter mixture, alternating between the two, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Stir in the almond extract.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cupcake liners. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes. Transfer the cupcakes to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
