  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the green beans for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add the cooked green beans to the soup mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the French fried onions on top.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
  9. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
