Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.

Meanwhile, roll out the black fondant and cut out 12 small squares.

Roll out the yellow fondant and cut out 12 small rectangles.

Place a square of black fondant on top of each cupcake.

Pipe a dollop of whipped cream on top of the black fondant.

Place a chocolate candy in the center of the whipped cream.

Attach a yellow rectangle on top of the black fondant to resemble a graduation cap.
