Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Peel and grate the yam.

In a large bowl, combine the grated yam, unsweetened cocoa powder, gluten-free flour blend, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix together the maple syrup, coconut oil, and vanilla extract.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
