Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Peel and core the apples, then place them in a baking dish.

Fill the center of each apple with golden syrup and a small knob of butter.

Sprinkle cinnamon over the apples.

Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 4 squares.

Place each apple in the center of a square of puff pastry.

Fold the corners of the pastry up and over the apple, pressing to seal.

Brush the pastry with melted butter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender.
